Kalzit is in early development. These pages describe what exists today and change as the milestones progress.
Documentation
Kalzit is in milestone M0: the server foundation, sign-in and the UI shell. There is no release yet, so the only way to run Kalzit is to build it from source. These pages cover what exists today.
Getting started
- Installation from source: the tools you need and how to build the server.
- First start: the one-time setup code, the first organization and its owner.
Running Kalzit
- Configuration: every section of
kalzit.tomland the matchingKALZIT_environment variables. - HTTPS and reverse proxies: HTTPS with your own certificate, or behind nginx or Caddy.
Naming
The project was called Granit while it was planned. The code is being renamed: the binary
becomes kalzit, the configuration file kalzit.toml and the environment variables start with
KALZIT_. These pages already use the new names. Until the rename has landed, a build from the
repository still uses granit, granit.toml and GRANIT_.
